TIP FOR USE
If possible, store the Dometic iceboxes in cool surroundings for several hours before use and keep them out of direct sunlight. If being
filled with drinks or groceries, we recommend chilling the items beforehand. Standard freezer packs or ice cubes are suitable as
coolants. Air will compromise the cooling capacity and shorten the duration of cooling. Therefore avoid opening it unnecessarily and
pack the boxes as full as possible.

coolbox can cool contents to as low as 30 °C below the ambient
temperature. The ACX 40G offers outstanding technological
features, you can even make ice cubes in the included ice cube tray.
This absorption cooler can work on 12 volt supply in the vehicle,
on 230 volt mains supply at home or 220 g gas cartridge in remote
locations. There’s an integrated cradle for the gas canister - which
will power the box for up to 24 hours. All this, complete with a

fridge temperature is +4 °C and ambient temperature +25 °C) ensuring you
never miss feeding time.
This market-leading battery system is the utilizing cutting-edge
technology which is a result of years of research and development.
The Dometic PLB40 has powerful, integrated Lithium Iron Phosphate
(LiFePO4) battery cells, providing an energy supply of 512 Wh. Ideal
for running powered coolers and other 12 V appliances while on
adventures, the PLB40 provides up to 53 hours of cooling time for
a Dometic CFX345 on a single charge (When fridge temperature
is +4°C and ambient temperature +25°C). The integrated DC-DC
charger offers three convenient ways to charge via: the vehicle 12V
socket, solar panel or AC power. The battery’s integrated battery
management system protects the PLB40 from under-voltage, over-
voltage, short circuiting and overheating for optimum charge time,
performance and storage. With this power management system,
the Dometic PLB40 has a cycle of life which is up to five times longer
than more commonly used lead-acid batteries.

Jan is hooked on the great outdoors. He
discovered his love for nature and spirit
of adventure eight years ago by spending
his weekends hiking through the Alps in
the south of Germany. When he relocated
to Hamburg, he needed to find new ways
